VERTICAL BALER

THESE UNITS CAN BALE: • STRETCH WRAP • CANS • CARDBOARD • TRASH

vertical baler
• 73,502 lbs. of crushing force
• 30" x 48" x 60" bale
• 2,600-psi hydraulic system
• 15 hp, 208/230/460V, 3ph motor
Empty your dumpster less and save money! Environmentally
friendly vertical balers can produce dense bales up to 1,100
lbs. Easy-to-operate—after waste is loaded into baler, a down
stroke ram is activated which holds the waste in place until a
light alerts you that there is enough to make a bale. After the
bale has been tied, a door opens and ejects the bale onto a
pallet for storage until pick-up. 78"W x 143"H overall.
48-second cycle time. Freight charge will include delivery,
installation and a safe operation training with needed
personnel. Meets or exceeds all ANSI Z245.5 standards for
bailing equipment. Two-year warranty on parts and labor plus
a 5-year warranty on structure. FOB ALABAMA.
NOTE: AN ELECTRICIAN WILL NEED TO HAVE
ELECTRIC SERVICE PREPARED FOR THE
BALER UPON DELIVERY. ELECTRICAL

DESIGN FEATURES
• Material under pressure for a period of time, will density 10% more, than simply under momentary pressure.
Therefore, a time-delay relay is incorporated to allow the press head to delay for a full 5 seconds, at the
bottom of each stroke, before returning to the up position.
• We use 10-inch C-channel side rails and two 12-inch C-channel headers to mount the cylinder. This allows
us to achieve a 46: 1 ultimate strength ratio. With 75,000 Lbs of down pressure in the bale chamber, the
MAX-PAKvertical baler easily, and quickly, breaks down cardboard boxes, and creates dense bales.
• The door open/close mechanism incorporates a 10-inch turnbuckle wheel, joined at two points for ultimate
   leverage and ease of use.
• Al lMAX-PAKvertical balers incorporate a self-eject system, making bale removal a snap.
• The press head is locked against the rear of the baler using a patented roller guide system. This restricts its
movement toward the front of the baler under pressure. A six-point guide system restricts lateral movement
of the press head in any unintended direction. These precautions ensure the cylinder is not subjected to undue
side load, which would shorten its life.
• We were the first to use tube steel to buffer the door. Tube steel is 12 times stronger than C-channel.
• MAXPAK is the only company to put eight pieces of 4-inch C-channel in the sub-floor of its vertical balers.
Others use four (or less), or even just a steel plate.
• The discharge door is made of quarter-inch steel plate, supported by 3-inch square tube steel.
• We use hydraulics built for the 5,000-PSI European standards, but we run them in the 3,000-PSI range.
This keeps them cool and allows them to keep running, with very low maintenance, year after year.
• MAX-PAKwas the first to use a solid steel in-feed charge door, which provides superior strength and
acts as a barrier, just in case something such as an aerosol can were to be accidentally inserted into the
baler. Most others use a mesh wire screen door, which could still allow injuries to occur, even from a
   small explosion.
• Safety interlocks are installed on all doors and removable panels, so baling automatically stops if a door is opened.
• All MAX-PAK Vertical balers have bilingual safety stickers and caution decals.
• MAX-PAK standard vertical balers are UL listed, and all MAX-PAK balers meet or exceed all applicable
OSHA regulations and are built according to ANSI Z 245.5 safety requirements for baling equipment.
